How this calculator works
An invoice is a calculation wrapped in a document, so this tool treats it as both. Enter your details and your client's, add a line for each item of work with its quantity and rate, then set the discount and tax. The totals update as you type — subtotal, discount, tax charged on the discounted amount, and the final sum due — and the same figures flow into a clean invoice layout you can print or save as a PDF from your browser's print dialog.
Everything happens on your device. No account, no upload, and nothing is stored when you close the page — which keeps client details off third-party servers, at the price of keeping your own records: save or print the PDF and file it with the job paperwork, because this page will not remember it for you. The numbering, dates and payment details are yours to set, and they are the parts clients and tax authorities actually check.
Good practice and limits
Send invoices that answer every question a payer's accounts department will ask: who is billing, who is billed, a unique invoice number, the date, the due date, what the work was, and exactly how the total was reached. Most “slow payment” is a missing detail bouncing between inboxes, and most of it is preventable at the moment you raise the invoice.
