Privacy Policy
Last updated: 12 October 2026. This policy explains what BusinessLipTools does and does not do with your information. The short version: the tools run entirely in your browser, we operate no accounts and no analytics, and we never see the figures you enter.
Information the tools process
Every calculator on this site runs locally on your device. The numbers, dates, names and line items you type are processed by the page in front of you and are not transmitted to us or to any third party. When you close the page, they are gone. The single exception is a display preference: the site stores your light/dark theme choice in your browser's local storage, on your device, so the site looks the way you left it.
Information we collect
We do not operate user accounts, contact forms that store submissions, newsletters or analytics software. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) for security and operations, as virtually every host does; we use them only to keep the site running and to investigate abuse. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include, and we keep that correspondence to deal with your enquiry.
Cookies
The site itself sets no tracking cookies. The theme preference described above is local storage, not a cookie, and it never leaves your device.
Advertising cookies and third-party ad partners
BusinessLipTools does not currently display advertising. If advertising is introduced in future — for example through Google AdSense — third-party ad partners, including Google, may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your browsing. You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time via Google's Ads Settings (google.com/settings/ads) and through industry opt-out pages such as aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu. Introducing advertising would be reflected in an updated version of this policy before or at the time ads begin to run, and the calculators themselves would continue to process everything locally, exactly as they do now: ad code would have no access to the figures you enter into a tool.
Your rights
Because we hold almost nothing about you, most data rights questions answer themselves. For anything we do hold — principally email correspondence — you may ask what we have, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and contact us at contact@businesslip.com. We respond to such requests within a reasonable time and without charge for straightforward cases.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated text will be posted on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes — above all, the introduction of advertising — will be described in plain language here rather than buried in legal wording.
